SCHEDULE FOR OUR WEEKLY SUNDAY SERVICE

Gita Reading9:15 AM to 9:45 AM. On Sundays the front door opens at 9 AM. From 9:15 AM until 9:45 AM we have a group reading from God Talks With Arjuna: The Bhagavad Gita. Those present take turns reading from this Gita translation and commentary by Paramahansa Yogananda. Of this beloved scripture, Yogananda stated: “The entire knowledge of the cosmos is packed into the Gita.”

Pre-Service Meditation10 AM to 11:50 AM. Our Pre-Service Meditation includes a prayer, an optional quotation, a chant, and meditation. Instrumental music is played from 11:50 AM until Noon.

Main Meditation Service11 AM to Noon. Our Main Meditation Service begins with an opening prayer, followed by the morning’s inspirational reading (or a brief segment of an audio recording), a devotional chant, and silent meditation. We conclude with another period of chanting, followed by our Healing Service and closing prayer. The service ends at noon.

COMMEMORATION SERVICES

Commemoration Services–11 AM to Noon. Special Sunday Commemoration Services meditation services honoring Bhagavan Krishna, Mahavatar Babaji, Lahiri Mahasaya, Swami Sri Yukteswar, and Paramahansa Yogananda are held periodically throughout the calendar year as indicated on our Schedule of Services. You may click on the above “Contact Us” link to request a Schedule of Services by email.

These Commemoration Services replace the 11 AM to Noon Main Meditation Service. For these Sunday Commemoration Services, devotees and guests are invited to bring a flower and a donation in an envelope. The flower symbolizes devotion to God and the Guru being honored. The donation symbolizes loyalty and appreciation for the divine flow of spiritual riches coming from the Great Ones. Sometimes it is not convenient for those attending our commemoration services to bring their own flowers. So we provide fresh flowers at the back of the Meditation Chapel for your use. Envelopes for Commemoration Service donations are also provided.

Paramahansa Yogananda: “Forget the past, for it is gone from your domain! Forget the future, for it is beyond your reach! Control the present! Live supremely well now! It will whitewash the dark past and compel the future to be bright! This is the way of the wise.”

“EVERYTHING ELSE CAN WAIT, BUT OUR SEARCH FOR GOD CANNOT WAIT.”
